my sweet emily lacy! even before recruitment began last year, you quickly became a face I looked for at every Welcome Week event. you weren’t even my sister yet, but I could already tell you were someone I needed in my life! over the past year, I’ve seen that you are always the first to extend a helping hand. you push me to stand firm in my faith, to work hard, and to always put others first, and you make Bible study one of the highlights of my week! you are so smart, unwaveringly kind, and absolutely hilarious, and you truly have the biggest heart for others. your steadfast friendship, the mindset of servant leadership you bring to CMT, and your unconditional love make you the definition of a Delta Gamma woman. you show me exactly the kind of person I want to be, & I love you beyond measure! 💕⚓️💕 (p.s. dr. henton also thinks you’re the coolest 😉 now let’s talk about that graduating early thing…)
