Internships are no longer just a “nice to have.” They’re one of the most critical pathways for students to gain experience, build confidence, and launch their careers. Recent reporting from The Wall Street Journal highlights just how competitive the internship landscape has become, with fewer opportunities and more students vying for them.

At the University of Montevallo, we’re committed to preparing career-ready graduates through hands-on learning and real-world experiences. But creating those opportunities doesn’t happen without the support of our extended community.

That’s where our Stephens College of Business alumni and partners make a difference.

If your organization offers internships, project-based learning, job shadowing, or entry-level opportunities, we would love to connect. Your involvement not only helps our students gain valuable experience—it directly impacts the strength of Alabama’s future workforce. 💜💛

More students and unemployed graduates are vying for a limited number of spots to improve their odds of getting hired.
