Savannah Ryan is an Exercise Science major here at Huntingdon. When asked what was her favorite thing about Huntingdon Savannah said “It is hard to pick one aspect about Huntingdon that I love the most. However, if I had to pick one, it would be the opportunity I have had to participate in various campus activities. I love that I have been able to be an athlete on the lacrosse field, a sorority sister in Chi Omega, a Resident Assistant in Ligon, as well as have times for my studies. Each of these parts of Huntingdon have taught me different lessons, and has strengthened me into the woman I am today.”

Katie Clifton is an Exercise Science major here at Huntingdon. When asked what made her choose the Exercise Science program here she said “Growing up playing sports my entire life and constantly being around sports, whether at school or in my hometown, I always knew I wanted to take that career path. It was what I knew best and what I was most comfortable around. After switching back-and-forth between majors early in my college career, I finally found Exercise Science and fell in love.”

There is a correction from the post earlier. Advising tomorrow (Tuesday, April 8th) will be determined by your MAJOR not your adviser. It will last from 3:30-4:30.

This means that all Physical Education majors will go to Weil 103 with Dr. Dorman and Dr. Clark.
All Sport Management majors will go to Cloverdale 119 with Dr. Laughlin.
All Exercise Science majors will go to Weil 105 with Dr. Bamman.
All Athletic Training majors will go to Weil 102 with Dr. St. Martin.

Most needed items inlcude: peanut butter, canned beans, canned soup, canned tuna, 100% fruit juice, stews & pastas, canned fruits & vegetables, macaroni and cheese dinners, whole grain low sugar cereals. The SSPE Department is having an Advising Day on November 7th (THIS Thursday). Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will need to be advised between 8:30a.m. and 11:00a.m. Freshman & Sophomores (who could not make it before 11:00) will need to be advised starting at 11:00a.m. You MUST attend your classes on this day because your instructors will be taking roll and if you are not present they will mark you absent. Also, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors please bring your plan of study with you! We will provide a Plan of Study for the freshman.

Important Announcements for SSPE students:
1) David Taylor, the director of PT admissions at Mercer will be here on Tuesday, October 22nd @ 12:15 in Weil 105 to present to interested students. If you are interested in attending please let Dr. Bamman or Jessi Andrews know by sending one of us a text, call, tweet, e-mail, or coming by one of our offices.
2) Fran Taylor will be here on Friday, October 25th from 11:45-12:45 in Weil 105 to do a resume workshop for all SSPE students.
