Faulkner alumna Auburn Chason is turning personal loss into purpose. 💙📖

After losing her father at just 12 years old, Auburn spent years walking through the journey of grief. Seventeen years later, she has released Fruitful Grief on Feb. 11 — a book born from her own experience and her desire to help others see that fruit can flourish even in seasons of suffering.

“What I started doing in young adulthood was working to give grief a better name,” Chason said. “I have worked really hard to frame grief as a companion that I take everywhere with me.”

We are so proud of our English graduate, who was also honored at last week’s Marketplace Faith Friday Forums as she uses her faith and her words to encourage others. 🦅✨

We are so proud of Faulkner Alumna Amber Traw, who is now the new Lower School Administrative Assistant at Prattville Christian Academy! 💜💙

GROWING MINDS FOR CHRIST 🤍
We are excited to welcome Mrs. Amber Traw to PCA as the Lower School Administrative Assistant. 💜 Get to know her more below:

"Mrs. Traw graduated from Faulkner University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English, a master’s degree in education, and an Alabama teaching certificate. She has also earned national certifications in tutoring, mentoring, and academic coaching. She began her career at her alma mater, Faulkner University, where she taught a variety of English courses and directed the university’s academic support center. Mrs. Traw also met her husband while at Faulkner, and they have been married for 12 years. They have two children who attend PCA, and she feels deeply blessed to attend alongside them and be part of such a loving, Christ-centered community. She believes the primary purpose of education should be to learn more about God and glorify Him with our time and talents—something she sees lived out daily at PCA and is grateful to have a role in. Mrs. Traw and her family attend Hunter Hills Church and enjoy participating in a variety of church and community activities."

We are so glad to have you join our family! 🐾💜
