On this day​ in 1965, Malcolm X was tragically assassinated at the Audubon Ballroom in Manhattan at just 39 years old​.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity has always held deep admiration and respect for Malcolm X, who engaged in legendary debates with Omega Men Bro. Bayard Rustin and Bro. James Farmer Jr.

In 1962, the Brothers of Pi Chapter at Morgan State ​U​niversity made history by personally inviting Malcolm X to speak, driving to New York to extend the invitation. His visit drew a packed audience for a debate on "Integration vs. Separation," leaving a lasting impact on the student body.This moment remains historic as the only speaking engagement Malcolm X accepted from a Black fraternity.
