UAM Pre-Vet Club To Host Petting Zoo
April 8, 2024

MONTICELLO, Ark. — The UAM Pre-Vet Club will host a petting zoo at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The cost is $10 per participant. Parents enter for free with their children. Admittance includes the petting zoo, animal feed, one horse ride and cotton candy. Additional horse rides will be available for $5 each. Face painting will be available for $5.

The event will be held across the street from the Alvy Early Softball Field. Petting zoo attendees are also invited to attend UAM Softball’s game against Northwestern Oklahoma State University at 2 p.m. for free.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Monticello 2nd Chance Fur Dogs, a dog rescue organization located in Monticello, Arkansas.

The UAM Petting Zoo will be on campus on Saturday, April 13th! This has been a huge hit with the community. Come join us and support the Pre-Vet students and a local humane society.

The UAM Pre-vet club has been working hard to fundraise. We have several students planning on going to Belize this summer to help underserved people and animals. Finances are tight for college students and they have worked hard trying to raise the funds to go. We would appreciate all the help and support provided!
