Montreat senior Nick Abramov spent his summer combining faith, creativity, and technology through a UI/UX design internship with YouVersion, the ministry behind the Bible App. 📱

From Bible.com to an Android Auto Bible experience, Nick used the skills he’s building in Montreat’s VCXD program to design with purpose.

As we celebrate new students moving into Montreat College today, our hearts are also heavy as we mourn alongside our friends at Milligan University following the tragic loss of two student-athletes, Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers, earlier this week.

At Montreat College, we know the strength of a close-knit campus community and the bonds formed through collegiate athletics. We grieve with the families, teammates, coaches, faculty, staff, and friends who are carrying this unimaginable loss.

We are praying for healing for those who were injured, comfort for the families of Haylan and Brayden, and strength for the entire Milligan community in the days ahead.

Milligan, you are not alone. We stand with you and pray over you. Jesus, draw our brothers and sisters close. ❤️🙏

From Zambia to Montreat to The Cove, Mapalo’s college journey has been shaped by a willingness to step into new opportunities.

This summer, the senior Visual Communication and Experience Design (VCXD) major interned with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association at The Cove, where she put her design skills to work through social media, communications, and creative projects while gaining a clearer picture of the kind of work she hopes to pursue after graduation.
