Thank you to Class of 2026 alumnus, Nolan Roberts, for hosting a virtual alumni-led workshop earlier this week! His workshop gave students an interactive look into the science and applications of nuclear thermal propulsion.

Our alumni-led workshops are intended to promote mentorship, networking, and introduce students to new skills and opportunities. Nolan will begin studying Nuclear Engineering at Oregon State University later this month.

Due to prolonged extreme heat and high demand on campus electrical and cooling systems, Morehead State University's main campus will close today, Friday, Sept. 4, at noon.

— Residence halls remain open.
— The ROCK Dining Commons will operate with normal hours.
— MSU’s Recreation & Wellness Center will have modified holiday hours.
— Most campus buildings, including ADUC, the Camden-Carroll Library, AAC and Eagle Center, will close at noon and remain closed through the weekend.

💙💛 VOICE Voter Registration Drive Recap! 💛💙

Today, the Voter Outreach, Information, and Civic Education (VOICE) Special Project hosted its first voter registration drive of the new academic year!

They are proud to share that 19 new voters registered to vote, including students from the Craft Academy as well as members of the Morehead State University community.

The VOICE Leadership Team would like to extend a huge thank-you to everyone who volunteered and showed up to support the drive, especially those who worked behind the scenes to help make today possible.

The Voter Outreach, Information and Civic Education organization will be on the second floor of ADUC from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. to help you register to vote and make sure you’re ready to participate in our democracy. There is still time to come out and register!

During this fall's new student Orientation Week, the Craft Academy hosted a first of its kind networking event to promote student-alumni connections and mentorship. This event, known as Mix, Mingle and Mentor began with icebreaker games, later progressing to alumni-student interactive forums. Our alumni are proud to demonstrate the importance of mentorship, networking, and giving back to the next generation of the Craft Academy and we could not be more thankful for their partnership!

Senior Sunrise 2026!

What better way to start the first day of school than watching the sunrise with our seniors!

Even though the weather didn’t quite cooperate and we had a little rain, we didn’t let that stop us! Our Craft Academy seniors gathered at Eagle Lake bright and early for Senior Sunrise, enjoying donuts, refreshments, and some time together before officially kicking off their final year at Craft Academy.

It may not have been the perfect morning, but we still made the most of it and started the year together!

We’re so proud of our alumni! Kate Black

Congratulations to Katie Black for completing her internship with CPE! Black assisted the Data Unit on several projects, including the State-Level Framework for Re-engaging Adult Learners. Prior to her data role, Black has also been very active in GEAR UP Kentucky, recently speaking at a legislative reception regarding the benefits of the program to both students and state. We wish you the best of luck, Katie, on your next chapter!
