Hello Morehead Writing Project teacher leaders!

This is my last official act as site director, introducing Dr. Eric Morris as our new site director and principal investigator for the Morehead Writing Project. I will continue to serve on the leadership team as director emeritus with Leslie Workman and Mandy Lawson. Learn more about the transition and Dr. Morris here: https://moreheadwritingproject.org/leadership-transition/

This is a great time for you to reactivate your Morehead WP leadership activity as we re-vision our community to best serve teachers and students in today's educational environment. There is definitely still time to join the 2025 Summer Institute cohort and if you know a teacher who would be great for this work reach out to Eric ASAP! In addition, we are seeking teachers to join our new National Writing Project grant offering exciting student publishing opportunities.

The National Writing Project made me the teacher that I am today and the Morehead Writing Project community will continue to be an important part of my life even when I leave the classroom. I know so many teachers need to join this amazing network. Please take a moment today to share your writing project story and these opportunities with the young and struggling teachers in your life. And if you are at a stage in your life when you can help us plan for the future of the Morehead Writing Project please reach out.
