Moreno Valley College Student Government (ASMVC) We offer a number of ways to become involved at the college and in the community. Being involved in Student Government:

1.

The Associated Students of Moreno Valley College (ASMVC), along with college clubs and organizations, are dedicated to providing students with opportunities to develop leadership skills through participation in student government and co-curricular programs. is a way for students to meet new people, create life-long friendships, and create new experiences;
2. will help students learn a number of

leadership skills that will benefit them in the future;
3. looks great on transcripts and will set students apart from the "mainstream" when applying to transfer; and
4. provides Student Government officers with early access for classes. The different branches of Student Government are as follows:

1. Board of Commissioners (BOC), for students that like to plan activities and want to have a good time.
2. Multi Cultural Advisory Council (MCAC) for those students that want to be involved in multicultural activities & education.
3. Student Senate is a more serious branch of Student Government, charged with, among other things, handling and allocating approximately $150,000 in funds.
4. The Supreme Court is for students looking into the legal system as a future career.
5. Inter-Club Council (ICC) is for club members to represent their clubs/organizations and to advertise their club activities. Requirements for joining Student Government:

1. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0;
2. Currently enrolled in 6 or more units at Moreno Valley College;
3. Student Services Fees paid for the term;
4. And a great attitude and a willingness to get involved!!!

In an effort to address the financial needs of some Moreno Valley College students as a result of COVID-19, the Associated Students of Moreno Valley College, (ASMVC), is pleased to offer the ASMVC Stimulus Program II. If interested, Please click on the link below and fill out the application. Applications will be reviewed and awarded by the Stimulus Committee based on demonstrated need.
Applicants must have paid their fall 2020 Student Services Fees,
Moreno Valley College must be your home college and you must be enrolled in fall 2020 courses at least half-time, (6=units). If you have any questions prior to completing the application please e-mail [email protected]. The deadline to submit the application is 12 pm, Friday, November 20, 2020. Note: Any award given will be reported to the Student financial Services and may affect your financial aid award.
