We’ve had a busy week!

Friday featured the entire studio playing works by Muczynski, Lutoslawski, Mendelssohn, Weber, and more in our semi-annual end-of-semester studio recital.

On Saturday, senior BA Music & Psychology major Tiara Simon played a demanding graduation recital of works by Schumann, Lefebvre, Weber, and Saint-Saëns.

Congratulations to Tiara and the rest of the studio on finishing out the week (and semester) on such a strong note. Now, our last week of lessons and juries awaits! 💪

We are approaching the end of the semester with TWO clarinet studio events this week!

On Friday, April 24 @ 8pm, we will have our semesterly Studio Recital, ending with a performance by the WVU Clarinet Choir.

On Saturday, April 25 @ 12pm, Senior Tiara Simon will present her graduation recital!

Both events in Bloch Hall. Hope to see you at both events!

HUGE OPPORTUNITY! Calling all high school rising juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a music degree! We are excited to announce the second edition of the WVU Emerging Artists Competition!

🎵 Submit a video audition by May 1, 2026 to enter the WVU School of Music Emerging Artist Competition. Finalists will perform in Morgantown on September 19, 2026 for a chance to win cash prizes and a four-year scholarship.

💵Cash Prizes:
🥇First Prize: $600 + full tuition scholarship to attend WVU!
🥈Second Prize: $450
🥉Third Prize: $300
