Hate small talk? You're not alone. Making conversations with strangers can be anxiety provoking and sometimes feels tedious, but it's not pointless... In some scenarios being comfortable making small talk can be a huge advantage... Think about feeling comfortable and confident chatting up recruiters at a job fair!

These short interactions can help us build long lasting relationships and just like most things, the more you practice the better you get!

Do you ever feel better after a good cry?? Turns out, that's science, but there is a difference between a good and bad cry!

You can get the most benefits from crying when you do so in a supportive environment! This allows you to safely release your emotions and feel relaxed on the other end.

Crying is part of being human, so don't be afraid to let those tears flow!

You don't have to carry it all on your own 💛💙

Do you tend to numb out or push your feelings down? Did you know that ignoring negative emotions can actually INCREASE suffering and make it even more difficult to feel positive emotions??

Try these five steps to help you get better in touch with your emotions-
1) Notice how you're feeling
2) Give the feeling a name, you may be experiencing multiple emotions at once
3) Allow yourself to feel those feelings without judgement
4) Be curious about the feeling... Where do you feel it in your body? How intense is it? Journal or doodle about the feeling
5) Allow and release the feeling with the understanding that nothing lasts forever

Emotions come and go, think of feelings as waves as do your best to breathe through and support yourself through those waves.

How often do you go straight to a default answer when someone asks how you're doing?

Letting others know when you're going through something may not feel easy, but can help to build connections and cultivate healthy relationships. The more you practice, the less uncomfortable it'll feel... And when you're open and honest, you're letting friends know they can be open and honest with you!

If you're struggling to open up to others, try opening up to us first! We can help you develop those skills and YOU'RE worth it!

We believe that mental health and wellbeing are multifaceted and interconnected. Take a moment to reflect and your wellbeing as you work through the wellness wheel activity!

If you notice there's an area that could use some more attention, remember it isn't always about doing MORE. Is there something you can de-prioritize that would benefit one or more dimensions?
