Alpha Delta Phi Society The Alpha Delta Phi Society is a self-governing, coeducational organization dedicated to cultivating character, scholarship, and enduring friendships.

With six active chapters and three affiliates, our literary society is one of North America's foremost coeducational Greek-letter institutions. Our literary tradition fosters life-long intellectual growth, mentoring, and achievement among our members. The Alpha Delta Phi was founded by Samuel Eells in 1832 to encourage free thought and to supplement a rigid classroom education.

Congratulations to the lovely winners of some fabulous awards given out during our Convention banquet this year!! 💚

Here’s a little primer on each award:

✨ Sword and Spear recognizes outstanding contributions to the Alpha Delta Phi Society at the undergraduate chapter level
✨ Emerald and Pearl highlights the achievements of undergraduate members who have left a lasting impact on the Society
✨ Rising Star is given to a young graduate member who have shown early and tireless dedication to supporting and bettering the Phi
✨ Star and Crescent recognizes outstanding contributions of a graduate member throughout their many years of service

✨Group lunches among undergrads and alums

Here’s what we got up to during our first day of business:
✨ We incorporated some traditions at the start of the weekend (IYKYK)
✨ There were engaging icebreakers!
✨ Christine Chapman (BRN ‘14) presented a fantastic talk!!
✨ hosted all of us at their house for delicious dinner and a few rounds of trivia!!
✨ Sammy Puppet, Sammy Duck, and Sammy Raven all made appearances!!!
