There’s something special about fall in Moscow! From the beautiful autumn colors to the charm of campus in the fall, we love seeing students out and about at the University of Idaho.

Meet Harley Heimgartner, a junior majoring in agricultural science, communication and leadership with a minor in animal science. Originally from Juliaetta, Idaho, Heimgartner grew up on her family’s farm, where she developed a passion for agriculture while learning the value of responsibility and hard work.

Heimgartner chose the University of Idaho because of its strong connection to the agricultural industry and its variety of agriculture-related programs. Her passion for animals and the livestock industry influenced her decision to pursue a degree that would allow her to explore multiple career paths.

Outside of the classroom, Heimgartner works at Lewiston Vet Clinic and volunteers as a livestock coach. She is most proud of maintaining a high GPA while balancing work, volunteering and extra credits.

A mentor who has played an important role in Heimgartner’s college experience is Kat Rovey, who has helped her explore career opportunities and navigate her career path. When she needs a place to focus, Heimgartner said the second floor of the library is her go-to study spot.

When you ask your professor for an extension to record content for AELC and they don’t approve it…

All jokes aside, we love working with our team to create reels that brighten our day!
