Photo dump from our most recent Health Careers Workshop Day at Wabash Valley College. Thank you to all the programs at the college that participated, to Wabash General Hospital and all of their employees that presented in the breakout sessions, to Dr. Fullop and Dr. Miller and the surgical team that performed the knee replacement procedure, and to all the students and schools who attended. It’s always a great opportunity for students to be exposed to many careers in the healthcare field in one day. Enjoy the photos.

Last Thursday the Wabash Valley College Health Professionals Club was privileged to have on hand, Jeanna Trimble, who is the Director of Emergency Services at Wabash General Hospital. She shared a lot of her personal journey to where she is today and spoke about the many team players involved in emergency care and the difference they make in the lives of others when working together.

This Friday we will be hosting our huge Healthcare Workshop Day along with Wabash General Hospital showcasing a lot of professions and services they have to offer at WGH and the programs that IECC has to offer to help students obtain the knowledge, degrees, and licensure to work in those fields. We have reached capacity for the day!! It’s always an exciting event each year.

Air Evac 150 is excited to offer our Flight Crew Fellowship—a unique, internship-style opportunity for nurses🩺 and paramedics 🚑 who want an inside look at the world of air medical transport with the potential of becoming a full time team member.

This fellowship is a great way to explore the industry, build knowledge, and get familiar with how we do things here at Air Evac 150.

To be considered:

🚨‼️ Must have at least 2.5 years as a paramedic on an ambulance
🚨‼️Must have at least 2.5 years as an RN in ER or ICU

The Wabash Valley College Health Professionals Club would like to thank, Nikki Woods of Wabash General Hospital for coming to speak with our students about careers in radiology. This field seems very interesting, it plays an important role in patient care, and has much opportunity with specialists in radiology being in high demand. And Illinois Eastern Community College offers a program at Olney Central College. Thanks Nikki for taking time out of your day to come share with our students.

The Wabash Valley College Health Professionals Club would like to thank Dr. Jason Sigler of Wabash General Hospital for coming to speak to our students this past Thursday about his career and journey as a Chiropractic Physician. After a span of 12 years in Texas, Dr. Sigler has returned to Mt. Carmel bringing years of experience with that hometown touch. Thanks Dr. Sigler for sharing both your time and knowledge with our students.

Huge thank you to Ryan Horrall of Wabash General Hospital for coming to speak to our club about careers in Occupational Therapy. It’s clear he loves his work and helping others regain or maintain their function and independence. Thank you Ryan and to WGH for serving our students again this school year. It’s been a fantastic journey the last nine months at Wabash Valley College.
