Lillian Denecke attended the 156th American Fisheries Society Meeting in Columbus, Ohio, from August 30, 2026, through September 3, 2026. She gave a poster presentation titled “Determining natal origin of adult coho salmon in the Lake Michigan fishery using otolith microchemistry of juveniles” during the poster sessions. The conference brought together fisheries researchers and professionals, providing Lillian with a valuable opportunity to network and share the findings of her thesis research. She attended relevant presentations during the daily sessions, listened to plenary speakers, and participated in networking events throughout the week. After learning about new approaches, Lillian developed new ideas for her own research and looks forward to implementing these ideas into her work.
