At this year’s SOAR Awards, the Student Government Association was proud to be recognized for its continued commitment to service, leadership, and impact across campus. was honored with the Campus Partner of the Year award, while received Advisor of the Year for both SGA and another registered student organization. was recognized with the Legacy Award for her outstanding contributions throughout her time at CMU and was also named President of the Year for one of her registered student organizations.
was awarded Outstanding Executive Board Member for both SGA and another registered student organization, and was recognized as an Emerging Leader. received the Sustainability and Environmental Impact Award for her initiative, Sustainable Self Care, which highlighted the importance of wellness through a sustainability lens. These recognitions reflect the dedication and innovation demonstrated by our student leaders.
Additionally, the SGA Diversity and Inclusion Committee was honored with the Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Change Award under the leadership of Committee Chair .dmz.4. Lucia was also individually recognized with the Event of the Year award for the Lunar New Year celebration, along with the Legacy Award for her continued impact and service to the community. Together, these achievements represent the strength, passion, and excellence of the SGA community.
