Our Pi Day celebration brought students, faculty, and pie fans together for a fun-filled event hosted by the American Mathematical Society. There was a pi recitation contest where 5th grader Drexler Demas wowed the crowd with 36 digits of pi. Then our pie-eating contest was won by CMU grad student Erick Tinitana. AMS graduate student president Isaac Cinzori added extra entertainment (and mess) with his enthusiastic participation. A special shoutout goes to the CSE Dean’s Office for their generous support in making the celebration possible.
