Accommodation for new students:
ভিসা পাওয়ার পর সবচেয়ে গরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজ হচ্ছে বাসা ঠিক করা। এপার্ট্মেন্ট গুলোর ফোন নাম্বার/ইমেইল-এ যোগাযোগ করে জেনে নিতে পারবেন কোন এপার্ট্মেন্ট খালি আছে কিনা । খালি থাকলে তাদের পরামর্শমত ওয়েবসাইটে গিয়ে এপ্লাই করতে হবে।

উপরের কোন এপার্ট্মেন্টেই বাসা পাওয়া না গেলে Facebook marketplace এ খুজে দেখতে পারেন। বাসা ঠিক করার ব্যাপারে Current Student কারও হেল্প নিতে পারেন।
Transportation From Chicago airport to Mount Pleasant:
First of all, we don’t recommend anyone to come from Chicago airport to Mount pleasant due to the complexity of public transport. We always recommend to come from Lansing airport which is an Hour drive from Mount Pleasant.
কেউ যদি Chicago নামেন তাহলে ওখান থেকে বাস (Greyhound)/ট্রেনে (Amtrak) Mt. Pleasant আসতে পারবেন। বাস ছাড়ে সকাল ৭ টায়, বাস টার্মিনাল এড্রেসঃ 630 W Harrison Street, Chicago, IL, 60607. বাস-এ Mt. Pleasant আসতে সময় লাগবে ১০ ঘন্টা, টিকেট আগে কেটে রাখলে খরচ হবে ৭০/৮০ ডলার এর মত। ট্রেন ছাড়ে বিকাল ৪ টায়। ট্রেন স্টেশন এড্রেসঃ 225 S Canal St, Chicago, IL 60606। এটা Union Station নামেও পরিচিত। ট্রেনে Lansing পর্যন্ত আসতে পারবেন। সময় লাগবে ৫ ঘন্টার মত। টিকেট এর দাম ৩০ ডলার। Greyhound bus terminal আর Union station পাশাপাশি।
Chicago airport থেকে Union Station যাবেন যেভাবে:
From Chicago airport, you will need to take the Airport Transit System (ATS) first. Follow the signs "Trains to City" or "Airport Transit System" and get to the ATS station. Take an automated train to Terminal 3, get off, take an escalator up, turn left, walk to the elevators in the parking building, take an elevator down to the "CTA" level, and follow the underpass to the CTA station. The entire trip takes about 15 minutes.
Now you are at the CTA station. The fare is $5 (Take 5 dollar note from Bangladesh). Buy a single-ride ticket from the fare card machines (cash, debit or credit cards). Pay your fare and pass through the turnstiles to the boarding platform. Take any train and travel to the Clinton station on the same Blue line. The travel time from O'Hare to Clinton station is 46 minutes; trains run every 5-10 minutes daily.
To go from Clinton station to Union Station, take the escalator up and simply walk north along Clinton (there is a sign pointing in the direction of Union Station at the exit from the Clinton station). You will see an entrance to Union Station near the intersection with Jackson (there is also an accessible ramp down into the station on its Clinton side just after the taxi drive-in entrance). The entire walk takes about 5 minutes.
The total travel time from O'Hare to Union Station should be about 1 hour 15 minutes including all walking, waiting, and riding the train (about 1 hour 20 minutes if you are coming from the International terminal). The Blue line operates at all times, and so there is no last train to miss.
The greyhound bus terminal is closer to Clinton station than Union station, if you are planning to take the bus you can go to the greyhound bus terminal directly from Clinton station. When you arrive at Mt. Pleasant, someone from here can pick you up and drop you at your apartment.
Transportation From Lansing airport to Mount Pleasant:
Mount Pleasant থেকে সবচেয়ে কাছের এয়ারপোর্ট হচ্ছে Lansing Airport. Lansing Airport এ যদি দিনের বেলা এসে পৌঁছান, তাহলে হয়ত Mt. Pleasant থেকে কেউ আপনাকে রাইড দিতে পারবে। আগে থেকেই এটা কনফার্ম করে নিবেন। কেউ রাইড দিতে না পারলে আপনাকে উবার ঠিক করে দিতে পারবে। এটাও দেশ থেকেই কনফার্ম করে নিবেন। রাত ৯ টার পর উবার পাওয়া অনেক কঠিন। Lansing থেকে Mt. Pleasant পর্যন্ত বাস সার্ভিসও আছে (Greyhound). Lansing থেকে ছাড়ে বিকাল ৪ টায়, ভাড়া ১৫ ডলার। Ticket আপনি Greyhound এর website থেকে নিবেন ।
Transportation From Detroit airport to Mount Pleasant:
যদি Detroit এসে পৌঁছান সেক্ষেত্রে কয়েকটা অপশন আছে।
*Michigan Flyer এর বাস-এ Detroit airport থেকে Lansing আসতে পারেন। বাসের টিকেট ৩২ ডলার (এক্সট্রা লাগেজ এর জন্য আরও ১৫ ডলার পে করতে হতে পারে)। সকাল ১০:৪৫ থেকে রাত ৮:১৫ পর্যন্ত বাস থাকে। টিকিট বুক করতে পারবেন https://www.michiganflyer.com/ এই সাইট থেকে।
Lansing থেকে কিভাবে আসবেন সেটা উপরেই বলেছি।
*Detroit Airport North Terminal Level-4 থেকে ট্যাক্সি নিয়ে Mt. Pleasant চলে আসা। এক্ষেত্রে আপনার প্রায় ৩০০ ডলার এর মত খরচ হবে।
*রাতে হোটেলে থেকে পরের দিন বাসে Mount pleasant চলে আসা। হোটেল খরচ হতে পারে ৮০ ডলার এর মত (মিনিমাম)। কিছু হোটেল আছে যাদের এয়ারপোর্ট পর্যন্ত শাটল বাস আছে। আপনি হোটেল এর সাথে দেশ থেকেই যোগাযোগ করে নিবেন কখন এয়ারপোর্ট নামবেন, বাস কোথায় থাকবে। এয়ারপোর্ট নামার পর যদি হোটেল এর সাথে যোগাযোগ করতে না পারেন তাহলে Mt. Pleasant এর কাউকে বলবেন ফোন করে দিতে।

Pleasant বাস-এ আসতে পারবেন । এজন্য আপনাকে হোটেল থেকে যেতে হবে Greyhound bus terminal (1001 Howard St, Detroit MI, 48226) । হোটেল এর নিজস্ব ট্রান্সস্পোর্ট থাকলে সেটাও নিতে পারেন অথবা Mt. Pleasant এর কাউকে বলবেন উবার ঠিক করে দেওয়ার জন্য। বাস দিনে একটা, দুপুর ১২:৩০ টায়।
