Today we recognize National Day of Prayer, and we join believers across the nation in a shared purpose—seeking the Lord together. This year’s theme, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations,” calls us to lift our voices in unity to declare His goodness.

“Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.” – 1 Chronicles 16:24 (NASB)

Let’s come together to pray boldly, faithfully, and expectantly for our campus, communities and our country. 🇺🇸🙏

In recognition of 30 years of dedicated service as a Charlton County Commissioner, the county recently dedicated The Georgia Bend Fire Station to our Alumni Board President, Mr. Jesse Crews. Mr. Jesse certainly has a servant's heart, and we are thankful for all he does for BPCU and for how well he represents us in his community.

Mr. Jesse is pictured with his wife, Joan, who is a 1973 BPCU alumna.

Meet Your Alumni Board: Todd McInnis

Todd McInnis, a proud Brewton-Parker Christian University alumnus, reflects the enduring value of a life shaped by faith, leadership, and lifelong learning. Todd earned his Associate of Arts in 1995 and in 2025 earned his Master of Arts in Ministry, demonstrating a continued commitment to growth and calling.

Professionally, Todd serves as Director of Contracts and Procurement at The Mission Essential Group, LLC. His time at Brewton-Parker was marked by deep involvement in student life, including serving as President of the Student Government Association and participating in organizations such as choir, Baron Singers, OA, SAC, Circle K, and Phi Chi.
Todd’s service to the university has continued well beyond graduation. He has faithfully led as both a Trustee and President of the National Alumni Board, investing in the mission and future of Brewton-Parker.

Among his favorite memories are the traditions that helped shape the student experience, especially Choir Week, also known as Beanie Week, and the annual road rally.

We are grateful for Todd’s leadership, service, and ongoing commitment to Christ-centered education. His journey reflects the lasting impact of a Brewton-Parker experience grounded in faith and purpose.

He is risen!

This Easter, we celebrate the risen Messiah—our hope, our Redeemer, our King.
“This is the message of faith that we proclaim: If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:8-9

From our BPCU family to yours, may your day be filled with reflection and rejoicing in the power of the resurrection and the hope of salvation. ✝️

Meet Your Alumni Board: Sara Elizabeth Thompson Harden

Beth Harden, a 1973 graduate of Brewton-Parker Christian University, has spent a lifetime faithfully serving others through her work and her gifts. Earning an associate degree in pre-pharmacy, she went on to build a distinguished career as a pharmacist, serving communities across Georgia for nearly five decades. Her leadership includes time as Director of Pharmacy at Emanuel Medical Center, along with years of service as a trusted relief pharmacist in retail, hospital, and long-term care settings.

Beth’s commitment to service extends beyond her profession. She has led in her community as President of the Pilot Club of Vidalia and faithfully served her church as a pianist. Her ongoing investment in Brewton-Parker is evident through multiple terms on the Alumni Board, where she continues to support the next generation of students.

Her life reflects both creativity and dedication. From participating in choral societies to cultivating tropical plants, and even raising one of the largest ornamental waterfowl collections in Georgia, her passions are as unique as they are inspiring.

When asked about her time at Brewton-Parker, Beth recalls meaningful moments that shaped her journey, including a choir and band trip to Israel, her time as a work study secretary in the President’s Office under Dr. Ted Phillips, and playing saxophone in the pep band.

We are grateful for alumni like Beth, whose life and legacy reflect the enduring impact of a Christ-centered education.
