Research is only part of the CSRI experience! Today, our summer researchers met with the Berry Career Institute for a "Selling Your Skills" workshop, where they learned how to build stronger resumes, practiced speed networking, and explored ways to translate their research experiences into marketable skills for internships, graduate school, and future careers!

If you’ve ever been involved with Cornell Rams athletics, chances are you’ve heard the voice of 'Jumpin' Jack Carlson! Now, Jack Carlson ’26 is taking that voice to the professional world as a news anchor and multimedia reporter for MetroNews in Charleston, West Virginia. After graduating in December 2025, he officially joined the newsroom this spring and is already chasing his dream of becoming a professional sports broadcaster!

AlgeBear is looking a little fluffier these days! After more than 10 years of serving as West Science’s silent study buddy, emotional support bear, and occasional nap pillow, AlgeBear was due for a little TLC. Following a well-deserved spa day, he’s back in West Science looking refreshed and ready for the next incoming class! Thanks for always being there for our students, AlgeBear! 🧸🤝🐏

Hannah Koenighain ’26 is our next senior highlight! After graduation, Hannah will head to the University of Illinois Chicago to pursue two master’s degrees: a Master of Social Work focused on children and families and a Master of Public Health specializing in health policy and administration. During her time on the Hilltop, Hannah has been a passionate student leader and advocate for feminist issues, mental health and survivor support, and research-driven policy solutions. We’re so proud of all she’s accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next.
