Our Ball State University AES Chapter was very proud to be a part of the Opening for the center for Adults with Autism this past April 30th!

This opening featured different local artists, bands, and speakers from organizations that came together to support the Muncie community and those with autism. What a great opportunity to offer live sound support for the members of our community and for presenting great musical acts and speakers!

From our Ball State AES chapter, have a great summer, and be sure to stay tuned for what AES has to offer next semester in the fall!

Hello AES members!

Today, April 29th at 3:00 PM in the hallway of the studios (outside Sound house C and Sound house A) we will be having a Pizza Party to finish out the semester! The pizza will be from Papa John's. If you would like, bring a song that got you into music, or inspired you to pursue audio engineering and we will play it for each other!

Hey audio engineers and producers amongst you!

Join us this upcoming week, Thursday, April 14th to learn and work alongside professional Audio and video production engineer, Steve Savanyu. Steve has experience working with Buford T. Hedgehog Productions, and Audio Technica!

Our itinerary is as follows on Thursday:
- 10:00-11:00 AM: Science of Microphones Lecture with Steve (Sound House A)
- 12:30 PM-2:00 PM: MMP 236 lecture (Sound house C)

- 2:00 PM: Live studio session with MMP Studio band led by our AES Executive team (Sound house A/Studio 1)
**We will also love to have people help set up, so contact Ryan Vachon if you would like to set up, or just join us at 2:00 PM!**

- 4:00 PM Audio Streaming workshop demonstration with OBS Studio (This precise time is TBD, and might be in combination with the live studio session itself, or will be separate, and after the session so stay tuned for any updates)

We will be mixing material gathered from our latest Rode Microphone MMP Studio Band workshop! RØDE Microphones

Here's what has been going on lately at Ball State University's spring 2022 AES gatherings:

- We have learned the process of signal flow in our very own Music Media Production studios in studio 2 and 3.
- We have learned the process of "miking" a drum kit, and how to properly work with different microphones.
- We have learned how to work with patch bays, particularly with our own outboard gear.
- We have learned how to mix using both Pro Tools, and our analog systems.
- But most importantly we have learned how this can apply to our future curriculum, and to our future careers as audio engineers!
