We’re proud to celebrate BSU English Department Professor Jill Christman and the upcoming release of her newest memoir, The Heart Folds Early.

As a 2020 National Endowment for the Arts Prose Fellow, Christman’s work continues to elevate the landscape of creative nonfiction. The Heart Folds Early will be published in March 2026 as a part of the University of Nebraska Press American Lives Series and joins Christman's collection of remarkable writing that has earned national recognition and heartfelt connections.

Christman’s writing shares deep personal storytelling through careful insight and open vulnerability, reminding us that every story is worthy and possibly transformative.

Join us in congratulating Professor Christman on this incredible milestone!
