The Department of Educational Psychology is hiring a one-year Assistant Teaching Professor with a strong emphasis in quantitative psychology / advanced statistics for the 2026–27 academic year.

đź’Ľ Key Details:

* Start: July 31, 2026
* Salary: $54–57K
* Deadline: May 20, 2026

📊 Role:
Teach 4 graduate courses in quantitative methodology and statistics (primarily online), with possible topics including:
ANOVA, Regression, Factor Analysis, SEM, Multilevel Modeling, and other advanced methods.

🎓 Requirements:

* PhD in a social science or related field
* Experience teaching graduate-level statistics (intro through advanced)

Just a quick reminder that we have two more FREE events for the kiddos (pre-K through 2nd grade) in your life! We'd love for you to bring them to Stars, Stories, and Smiles! — a series of free community reading events celebrating Spotting Stars, a children's book created right here at Ball State. The next event is this Wednesday, in Fishers, IN!

Designed for children ages 4–8 (younger/older kids are welcome too!), the book follows Zara, a young girl who discovers her unique talents, and was developed by BSU students and faculty alongside Muncie families and educators.

Dr. Cassady has published an article is based an ongoing five-year study that evaluates all Kindergarten students in Hancock County over that time period based on their use of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

It's the largest published peer-reviewed study showing the impact of the program, and it was a collaborative project involving the Community Foundation of Hancock County, the Research Design Studio, and all four public school districts in the county.

The article was published in Early Childhood Education Journal and had three of our students as co-authors. Check it out below!
