Philanthropy Education Council

Philanthropy Education Council PEC's purpose is to educate, engage, and excite Ball State University students to ensure they understand the importance and impact of donor support.

With donor participation declining across higher education, it is increasingly important to build philanthropic awareness amongst our future alumni by engaging them while they are still on campus as students. Having a large population of engaged students and alumni is critical to the continued success of the university, and directly impacts the opportunities provided for future Cardinals. The Phil

anthropy Education Council (PEC) will host various on-campus initiatives throughout the year, which will serve as platforms for engaging and educating students as well as the university community. The PEC is the signature student organization that operates within the Ball State University Foundation to promote the spirit and knowledge of philanthropy amongst the university’s student population. Members will serve as campus ambassadors, ultimately creating a stronger culture of philanthropy within our campus community. The PEC consists of a group of highly motivated students who gain direct experience in digital marketing, communication, teamwork, event management, and strategic planning. The PEC presents student members with a unique opportunity to personally influence the success of the university and to build a résumé with skills that help in future careers.
