When asked by students:

"If you could take the students on a field trip to anywhere in the world, where would you take them?"

Answer: "I would take them to a U.N. Millennium Project village in Rwanda, which used to be one of the hunger hotspots of the world, to witness serious difficulties that people are facing there – lack of food, clean water, and healthcare facilities. It would be inspiring to see how people turned their life around when they learned new farming technologies, were creative about which crops to plant, and started to adopt preventive care to take care of themselves and their children better."

"What’s the best/worst thing about being a professor?"

Answer: "What I love the most about being a professor is to be able to pursue the research projects that really motivate me, continue to learn new things every day, and share my knowledge and interests with students. The most challenging aspect of the job is that I feel there is always more that I can do to improve the teaching content and delivery and to conduct better research."
