About the studio: Ball State University is located in central Indiana a little over an hour outside of Indianapolis. The studio is comprised of mainly undergraduate students in Music Media Production, Music Education, and Music Performance. Assistantship Duties: Full or Half Graduate Assistantships are available for 20/10 hrs per week on a 10-month contract. Assignments are based on teaching needs of the horn studio and School ensembles. Applicants may also apply for other teaching positions across campus or in music, including music theory, aural skills, music appreciation, music computer lab supervisor, music education methods, and more, depending on successful interviews within each discipline. Assistantship Pay: Stipend varies based on degree: Doctor of Arts stipend $12,000 full award/$6,000 half award; Master's $7,000/$3500; Artist Diploma $7,100/$3550. Undergraduate Awards: Ball State University offers numerous academic and music awards annually. These scholarships are often combined creating generous financial awards for undergraduate students. Awards are based on performance merit and academic prowess.
