Zoe Greene completed her degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management in May 2022.
What are you doing now?
In my current position, as the Marketing and Events Manager, I have many roles! I manage our company website, manage our social media accounts, write and edit blog posts, design brochures and other print material, plan our festivals and events, and work with industry partners daily!
How have you evolved since your previous role?
My previous role at Sumner County Tourism was in sales. Each role has given me two totally different perspectives of the tourism industry. However, the positions have gone hand and hand, and they have both taught me so much!
What is one thing that stands out to you about THM at MTSU and your start in your profession?
What stands out to me the most about THM at MTSU is the ongoing support that has surrounded me as I moved into my professional career. Keeping up with colleagues and professors has been such a great experience.
What is your perspective on your education at MTSU with THM? Do you have one faculty member that made a difference in your life?
My education in the THM program at MTSU has set me up for success. I work with hotels and restaurants daily, and MTSU really helped me gain an understanding of how they operate. I find myself using terms that I learned throughout my time at MTSU almost everyday. Dr. Whalen has definitely made an impact in my life. She shares her knowledge and experience in the industry helping students gain such a realistic perspective, and she is always there to offer advice and support when you ask!
