Scenes from some of our Masterclass and General Recital Performances! First off we have our very own Dr. Brian Mueller, who performed one of his original works at our Spring Faculty Recital. Up next we have pur recent guest clinician , who came in and worked with the studio on various latin styles and rhythms. Lastly, we have some great soloist and duet performances from our music majors!!

And WE'RE BACK!!! The MTSU Percussion Studio is off to a fantastic start and is gearing up for a very exciting semester! Special shout out to Cecil Joh and Sam Campbell for performing in the Spring Honors Recital! This semester, you can expect some great Graduate and Senior recitals, as well as our own Percussion, Steel Drum, and Salsa Concerts, Jazz Big Band and Combos, and Large Ensemble Concerts!

We hope to see you there!

A Huge Congratulations to our Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Symphony Orchestra, for their final performances of the semester!

Also a huge congratulations to the MTSU Steel Pan Bands for an amazing concert, as well as congratulations to the 7PM Steel Pan Band for being invited to perform at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)!

Lastly, some scenes from our various masterclass and General Recital performances!!!

We would like to thank everyone for an amazing and unforgettable PASIC 50! A huge congratulations goes out to our very own, Joseph David Flores, for his outstanding performance in the Concert Snare and Tenor I&E Competition! We would also like to congratulate SAJE Percussion on their phenomenal performance in the Concert Chamber Percussion Ensemble Competition (CCPEC)! Shout out to our very own Dr. Mueller for having his book “Scenes from the Countryside”, published in the Row-Loff Booth! We had a great time meeting and seeing everyone and want to thank our extended percussion family for such a great week! We can’t wait for what PASIC 2026 has in store for us!

The MTSU Percussion studio is proud to announce 2 MORE recitals coming up this semester from our Senior class!

On November 1st, we have Isabelle Kailing’s Senior Recital at 8pm! And on November 9th, we have Josue Garza’s Senior Recital at 8pm!

Both Seniors will host their recitals in T. Earl Hinton Hall and will also be live-streamed! We hope you can make it!

The MTSU Percussion studio is thrilled to announce two upcoming senior recitals!

This upcoming Friday (10/24), we have Ethan Wilson’s senior recital at 7pm! And on October 26th, we have Andrew Oblak’s senior recital at 8pm! Both will be located in T Earl Hinton Hall and will also be live-streamed.

Two great showcases of musicianship that we are extremely excited for as a studio! Hope you can make it!

AND WE'RE BACK! MTSU Percussion have had an exciting first couple weeks of the Fall 2025 semester!
This semester, you can expect lots of fantastic Senior recitals, as well as our Percussion Ensemble Concerts, Jazz Ensembles, Large Ensembles, Steel Pan Band, and Salsa Band!

Starting off with our first Masterclass clincian, our very own Professor Russell Wharton, who gave us a clinic on the Samba style of percussion.

Next off, some scenes from our various masterclass performances, senior Sam Campbell, freshman Wyatt Crabill, freshman Sky Lisowe, graduate Sam Brooke, sophomore Zaiden Allen, and freshman Joanh Sherlin.

An amazing past few days for our studio! This past Wednesday, we had our Salsa Band give a spectacular and fun performance! Plus, we had our Latin Juries at Carmen’s Taqueria this past Thursday, where members from our studio perform multiple genres of Latin music they have learned throughout the semester in their Latin lessons.

TODAY at 7:00pm! Don’t forget we have our 3rd annual Percussion Ensemble Showcase! We will have multiple performances from multiple middle/high schools from Rutherford County, and solo/chamber performances from members of our studio! We can’t wait to see you there!
