Sigma Chi MTSU Eta Gamma of Sigma Chi: The home of Friendship, Justice, and Learning at Middle Tennessee State University since April 5th, 1970. In Hoc Signo Vinces.

The Eta Gamma chapter of Sigma Chi was originally founded as Chi Alpha Pi Fraternity at Middle Tennessee State University on June 16, 1966, with the primary mission of becoming a chapter of Sigma Chi. The CAPS hard work paid off when they received their charter and were installed as the Eta Gamma chapter of Sigma Chi International Fraternity on April 5th, 1970. Today, we're proud to have built a l

egacy of strength and leadership over 50 years strong in the Middle Tennessee Greek Community. As a chapter, we strive for involvement and excellence in all areas of campus - from philanthropy to academics to intramurals to social functions. Ultimately, we believe that what sets us apart from and above other fraternities is this - a brotherhood based in values so true and so strong as to create the very best in collegiate excellence, fraternal fun, and fast friendship. It is with these High Ambitions that we hope that you will join us for the best decision of your life. 51 years on MTSU's Campus.

As you all know, Eta Gamma's journey began on April 5th, 1970, started by ambitious and involved individuals on campus known as Chi Alpha Pi.

We hope to continue making our founding fathers proud and remain a staple on MTSU's campus for many more years to come!

My brothers, how about a tip of the CAP and feel free to raise a glass (if you're so inclined) to our brother Captain Jon "JR" Rodgers? JR has graduated from being a Significant Eta Gamma Sig to being honored as a Significant Sig by the international fraternity in its 2021 class!!

Jon distinguished himself with stellar 3 decade career serving our nation in the U.S. Navy, commanding the USS PONCE (AFSB 15) and the USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD 😎. Our brother, Senator Lamar Alexander summed up JR's contributions pretty well in the attached note from the Congressional Record. Congratulations, brother!!! New luster indeed! IHSV!

If you are interested in seeing the newly renovated house we will be giving housing tours on the following dates, October 25, November 1st, and November 8th all starting at 4:00 p.m.

We can only have 10 people max on each of these tours so if you would like a tour please contact Ryan Cox with your name and the date in wish you would like to attend.

We are starting this day of off by highlighting a few of the amazing charities we are helping throughout this week: Blood Assurance TN, Habitat for Humanity, and Children's Miracle Network! Be sure to go checkout their causes today to find information on their respective missions and how you can volunteer to make a difference as well.
