An eclectic and inspired senior recital by Connor Prim. 6 trumpets!?!? Always the over achiever. Music of John Barnes Chance, Albinoni, Norman Dello Joio, and Claude Bolling. This guys got stylistic chops. They might need some ice tonight though!

Hey local friends.
Four tickets available for sale. I managed to get more tickets for the Nashville Symphony under the stars than I needed. So I have four extra discounted lawn tickets. They're normally $26 plus tax and fees. I got them for $20 and no fees. The concert is at 8 o'clock tomorrow night. It's all John Williams. We're doing a whole slew of Star Wars, Raiders of the lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Schindler's list. You name it. If it's John Williams, we are playing it. It's at the ascend amphitheater. FYI. Many times Luke Skywalker, R2D2 and others show up.

A huge congratulations to MTSU trumpeter Hayden Etters. He has won a job in the US Navy Fleet Band. What an honor to have had this young man in the studio even for a short time. He is a tireless worker, respected by the faculty, and an inspiration to his classmates. Bravo, Hayden!!

MTSU 2023 graduate, Grace O'Connell is in the finals of the Roger Voisin International Trumpet Competition. She will play Haydn and Tomasi tonight with orchestra. Starts at 6:30 central. She is one of three finalist chosen from a group of 10 international semifinalist. Grace, your Blue Raider family is so proud of you!

The new and improved MTSU Trumpet Studio. We are thirty strong following performance, education, industry, and competition tracks. This is the most competitive trumpet studio in my time here at MT and I am incredibly proud of the work these young people are doing and the music they are making!!
