The World's first Recording Industry fraternity, was founded in December 2005, first elections took place June 26, 2006 and the organization became official August 6, 2006 at the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. The Founders include James Saxon of Macon, GA, Brent McDowell of Elko, GA, and Janna Barr, another GA native. ODP's purpose is to futher the learning of recordi
ng principles beyond the class room. Audio Production, Music Business, and Songwriting students are all welcome in this co-ed fraternity, in addition to students of all majors who are interested in becoming more involved in the music industry. ODP encourages all members to get the most out of their college experience by teaching them industry standards as well as network connection. The fraternity hopes to bring in music industry panels, put on their own concerts, attend concerts, support local venues, have studio time and create relationships with those in the fraternity and on the campus of MTSU through music relations.
