A huge thank you to Meyer Sound for donating 𝟗𝟐 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 to 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 across our programs.

As a global leader in self-powered loudspeaker systems and active acoustics, Meyer Sound equipment is used on some of the world’s biggest stages, tours, and productions — and now our students will have even more opportunities to learn with industry-level technology.

MTSU audio production student selected for Fulbright Summer Institute in England to study filmmaking!

Gabriel was selected by the U.S.-UK Fulbright Commission and Lancaster University to participate in the Fulbright Lancaster University Summer Institute 2026. The highly competitive program brings together students from across the United States for an immersive academic and cultural experience in the United Kingdom.

Dean Beverly Keel was recognized at the third annual “I’m Just Me: A Charley Pride Celebration of Inclusion,” held during ACM Awards Week in Las Vegas.

Keel was honored in the Ally category for her work advancing and elevating underrepresented voices in country music through journalism, education, and industry leadership. The event, hosted by Amazon MGM Studios in partnership with Amazon Music and the Academy of Country Music, celebrates individuals helping shape a more inclusive future for the genre.

Recording Industry alumna Hunter Wolkonowski, known professionally as HunterGirl Music joined the Grand Ole Opry’s annual “Salute the Troops” celebration this month, honoring military members, veterans, and their families alongside fellow artists and military leaders.

Hosted in partnership with the MTSU Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center, the event featured special performances recognizing those who serve. Former MTSU student Craig Morgan, who also serves as an Army Reserve Warrant Officer, was among the performers during the evening’s tribute.

Our student-run record label, Match Records, wrapped the semester the best way possible: celebrating the first-ever vinyl release at the Center for Popular Music.

From student writers to alumni artists, the record brings together a wide range of voices from current artists and Match alums.
