🎨 Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 246 Gives Back Through Art!

We were proud to partner with Ables Recreation Association to host a Watercolor & Coloring Book Night on Valentine’s Day — a heartwarming evening of creativity, inclusion, and community for local children and adults with special needs.

Participants enjoyed watercolor painting, coloring activities, snacks, and plenty of fellowship in a supportive environment on the MTSU campus.

A huge thank‑you to our members, volunteers, and to Ables Recreation for the meaningful work they do in our community. 💙

We’re proud to congratulate our Chapter President, Dr. Phillips, on this outstanding recognition in Poe scholarship! 🎉📚

As the Honors College celebrates his award-winning editorial work, we’re honored to have such an accomplished scholar and dedicated leader guiding MTSU’s chapter of Phi Kappa Phi. His commitment to academic excellence embodies what PKP stands for.

Help us cheer him on! 👏

Thrilled to celebrate Dr. Phillips and his remarkable achievements in Poe scholarship! 📚 🐦‍⬛💀

His research has reshaped the way we understand place, geography, and literary space in the works of Edgar Allan Poe. As editor of "Poe and Place" and "Poe Spaces: Within and Beyond the Spatial Turn," (both published in Palgrave Macmillan’s Geocriticism and Spatial Literary Studies series) Phillips has twice earned the prestigious J. Lasley Dameron Award from the Poe Studies Association for the most outstanding edited collection on Poe.

🏅 2025 Winner

Congratulations to Dr. Phillips for this incredible honor (again!) and for continuing to expand the map of Poe studies in such innovative and inspiring ways.
