‼️New Opportunity for Aspiring Nurses ‼️

Tri-County Community College is joining Western Carolina University (WCU) Western North Carolina Regionally Increasing Baccalaureate Nurses (WNC RIBN) Program!

Starting Fall 2027, TCCC students can pursue an affordable, four-year pathway to earn both an Associate Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

The RIBN model combines community college and university coursework, allowing students to begin working as registered nurses at the start of their fourth year while completing their BSN.

This innovative partnership will help prepare more highly educated nurses to meet the growing healthcare needs of Western North Carolina.

Earlier this month, TCCC welcomed representatives from the Southwestern Workforce Development Board for a collaborative meeting focused on strengthening partnerships and finding new ways to support students, employers, and the regional workforce.

The conversation centered on connecting education and workforce services, increasing awareness of available resources, strengthening career pathways, and helping students move from training into meaningful employment.

Through the partnership, TCCC and workforce-development partners are working together to connect eligible students with career training, WIOA resources, career services, and opportunities in high-demand fields such as healthcare, public safety, skilled trades, and transportation.

This continued collaboration helps strengthen connections between education and employment while creating new opportunities for students and supporting the workforce needs of our communities.
