About

The MSU Department of Music Recording Studio seems to do it all, although not proportionally. The vast majority of our work is done in the classroom where students in MUS 337 and MUS 338 (Recording Techniques I and II) participate in recording projects for educational purposes and even the occasional release for M-Track Records. The studio houses a DW Collector’s Series drum kit, a selection of instruments and amplifiers, and my personal favorite: microphones.

In addition to commercial music, the studio also records classical music recitals and concerts on location in Lovett Auditorium, the Performing Arts Hall, and Farrell Recital Hall for both students, ensembles and faculty.
