It is with heavy hearts that Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® honors the life and legacy of our beloved sister, Cassandra Wilson, who transitioned peacefully on September 2, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by family and friends in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and the entire Beta Delta Omega Chapter as we celebrate a life beautifully and boldly lived.

The Nu Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was pleased to support Lake Hawks In Flight, Inc.’s 3rd Annual “Turning The Lake Pink” Overnight Takeover!

A special thank you to Kim Thornton for leading our chapter’s efforts and helping make this contribution possible. Through the generosity of our members, we donated pink bags filled with affirmation cards, affirmation mirrors, journals, Vaseline lip pods, hand sanitizers, and many other thoughtful items designed to encourage, uplift, and remind each young lady of her worth. 💗

We are grateful for the opportunity to support an initiative that pours into our youth and strengthens our community and we can’t wait to support “Turning The Lake Pink” again next year! 💕💚

The members of Nu Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® had an amazing time participating in the Muskegon Heights Annual Festival in the Park Parade!

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate with our community, connect with residents, and engage with our valued community partners. We are grateful for every smile, wave, and conversation shared along the parade route.
