While all academic programs at HGTC provide job training, there are a number of additional job training options for local companies, industrial prospects, and individuals who do not wish to enroll in college but need job training for immediate employment. SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE. Property and Casualty Insurance in South Carolina. This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C), Surety and Marine insurance concepts, practices, and regulations that follow the outline specific to the South Carolina Department of Insurance. It covers the fundamental principles of insurance, including risk management, policy structure, underwriting, claims, and legal and ethical considerations. Students will explore various types of property and casualty coverages, including but not limited to homeowners, auto, boats, commercial, and liability insurance. Special emphasis will be placed on South Carolina state-specific regulations, licensing requirements, industry standards and policy types. This course is ideal for students seeking a career in the insurance industry, to sell and solicit as an insurance producer. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to understand key aspects of P&C insurance and pass the South Carolina Property and Casualty Insurance Licensing Exam. 4.500 Continuing Education Units

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE! This class is held at the Adult Education Center in Conway in the Rivertown Complex located at 1808 Rhue Street Conway, SC 29527. This course introduces concepts of Pouring & Finishing concrete, block, and brick construction. Students learn masonry theory and practice hands-on techniques for working with masonry tools such as levels, trowels, and jointers. Beginner brick masons learn to select, mix, and spread mortar. Instruction emphasizes tool and construction site safety. Schedule: Thursdays: 6 PM – 9 PM / Fridays: 10 AM – 3 PM

Course work includes 144 hours of classroom lecture and lab. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam. Books and exam fee included in the cost of the class.

Students will explore the fundamentals of life insurance, health insurance, annuities, and related products, including policy types, underwriting, risk assessment, and claims processes. The course also covers topics including but not limited to legal and ethical considerations, state-specific regulations, and the role of insurance in personal and financial planning.
