Studio update time!!

Oct. 9th: the studio saw on of our own, , performing with a brass quintet at convocation.
Nov. 2nd: everyone performed in our epic back to back studio recitals!!
Nov. 8th: the studio saw our amazing horn professor Dr. Andrea Denis perform with the SFA Faculty Wind Quintet.
Nov. 9th: we had our SFA Horn Choir recital!
Nov. 12th: our LMB mellophone studio members got section of the season for the second year in a row!! Ax’em Jacks!!

Are you ready to hear some horn playing? We know we are! Join the SFA horn studio in our first recital of the school year, where we’ll be performing everything from classical to contemporary horn solos. We hope to see you all in Cole Hall!

Our student spotlight for the week is Neil Reyes!

Neil is a first year music education major from Victoria, Texas! He is currently an active member in the SFA Symphonic Band, Horn Choir, and the Lumberjack Marching Band. In his free time, Neil likes to craft, make art, game, play Dungeons and Dragons, and write stories! Neil chose SFA because “I enjoyed the energy and the community was very friendly and welcoming. (S/O to Abbigail Ramsey)”

Our student spotlight for the week is Will Hansard!

Will is a first year music education major from Lufkin, Texas! He is currently an active member in the SFA Symphonic Band, Horn Choir, and the Lumberjack Marching Band. In his free time, Will likes to read, cook, play video games, and watch movies! Will chose SFA because “It's near my hometown and its music education program is one of the best for public Texas universities!”

Fun Fact: ”I was once a biochem Major at University of Houston, and even went to a state science fair competition for a project on quantum statistics!”

Our student spotlight for the week is Mikayla Lehman!

Mikayla is a freshman music education major from Waxahachie, Texas! They are currently an active member in the SFA Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Horn Choir, and the Lumberjack Marching Band. In their free time, Mikayla likes to crochet, do origami, and read! Mikayla chose SFA because “It's a smaller community/college town vibe. SFA has an excellent program for my study, and an all around beautiful campus!”

Fun Fact: ”I graduated high school with an associates degree in science!”
