Greetings all,

We will be having an important town hall to discuss the work of the Faculty Salary Equity Committee. The faculty-led committee will explain the process for determining how and what salary equity adjustments were recommended to the Provost regarding the $1 million in funds allocated by the President.

There will also be more information given on the salary adjustment process moving forward, as Academic Affairs targets a Fall disbursement.

The town hall will be held on Wednesday, March 25th in BUS 133 starting at 2:30.

With that in mind, I am personally asking each of you to think creatively about how you might continue to deliver meaningful instruction should weather conditions require it. Your efforts will assist the President as he manages the university’s response in the coming days and will help SFA demonstrate the importance of education in our region.

The leadership of the faculty, including University Faculty Advisory Committee Chair Dr. Jason Bruck and Provost’s Advisory Committee Chair Dr. Brian Barngrover are working with the president and the provost on developing a new and improved shared governance model- compliant with likely new UT Regents Rules.
