The Marine Science Center (MSC) is the marine research and educational facility of Northeastern University. Located on the peninsula at historic East Point in Nahant, Massachusetts. The MSC continues to be a world recognized center of marine and environmental science research and education. Current research areas include marine ecosystem, evolutionary, physiological, molecular, and community ecolo

gy; coastal land form change and hazards, marine genomics; neurophysiology and behavior; microbial ecology; biological oceanography; and water pollution monitoring and remediation, and coastal land use change and sustainability. The Three Seas Program has been running for over 30 years and continues a strong reputation of training the next generation of marine scientists. The Outreach Program engages with thousands of people each year with K-12
programs, tidepool and other outdoor experiences on East Point, and the summer Coastal Ocean Science Academy.

Yesterday, our team had a blast introducing Member Night attendees to the creatures of the rocky intertidal with , of the Helmuth Lab, and members of Club! We highlighted the challenges these species face and showcased ongoing efforts to protect and preserve these organisms.
