On April 8th, students from across disciplines pitched their ventures at the Buntin Pitch Competition. What a night!
1st Place ($3,500): Ana Pena, When Pen Meets Purpose
2nd Place ($2,000): Dylan Hilburn, Game Launch
3rd Place: ($1,000) Lola Anderson, Faith and Fringe
The Buntin Initiative—generously supported by the Buntin Family—is a collaboration between the Jack C. Massey College of Business, O’More College of Architecture & Design, Watkins College of Art, Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business, and College of Music & Performing Arts—designed to empower students building ventures in the creative economy.
Since its launch in 2023, the competition has awarded over $20,000 to student founders, with this year’s winners continuing to build on that momentum.
The initiative honors the legacy of Jeffrey Buntin Sr., whose vision continues to inspire hope, creativity, and entrepreneurial action across campus.
