"The End (of a Promise)"
Written and directed by Shawn Whitsell

This short piece is a part of a collection of works called THE END, an in-development/workshop staged reading presented by SistaStyle Productions, Verge Theater Company, Destiny Theatre Experience, and Tennessee Performing Arts Center

A few rehearsals, minimal design elements, scripts in hand, limited audience...

This piece is still a work in progress and will eventually serve as the inspiration for a full-length version called "A Suffered Wrong."

Thank you to OBryan Clark and Britney Lashaun Heights for all the hard work they put into originating the characters of Jamal and Jersey in "The End (of a Promise)," a short play by DTE founder Shawn Whitsell at Tennessee Performing Arts Center. The play was a part of a larger work called "The End" that featured writing from Mary McCallum, Alicia Haymer, and Whitsell and presented in conjuction with TPAC, SistaStyle Productions, Verge Theater Company, and Destiny Theatre Experience. Whitsell plans to develop the piece into a full-length play called "A Suffered Wrong."

Greetings Supporters! I have a show 23/1 that I'm super excited about. It's happening this weekend and next! I've done the show multiple times in the past. You may have seen it before.

We were supposed to have a soft/pay-what-you-can-at-the-door opening tonight. I intentionally didn't put tickets for tonight up for sale for that reason.

I'm having to postpone TONIGHT ONLY due to a logistical challenge that I can get around. I apologize if anyone had plans to be there, but you can catch us tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, next Friday, and next Saturday.
