Mrs. Sandra D.H. Hunt a candidate seeking the office of National President of the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association.

I served as President of the Nashville Chapter from 2012-2016.
Served as National Nomination/Election Chair
Currently a Mid South Region Officer
Currently serve on the Women of Legend and Merit Advisory Board;
Previously, served on the Presidential search committee for the 8th President of Tennessee State University;
Presidential Inauguration Committee and served as the co-chair for the Homecoming scholarship Gala in 2015 and 2016.

Under my leadership as Chapter president
the Nashville Chapter met and exceeded the 8th President’s 50/50 challenge;
Increased Membership by 37%
Annual scholarship fundraiser had a net increase profit by 5% each year
Awarded over 50 thousand dollars plus in scholarships and increased opportunities to include Upperclassmen;
Became the permanent sponsor for the Robert N. Murrell Oratorical Awards Contest;
Expanded our communications network through a calling post and email blast;
Established a page and redesigned and updated the website to include dues payment and event ticket purchases;
Increased chapter member’s ‘giving to the Foundation.

TSU Alumni in Nashville
The Nashville Chapter, TSU Foundation and TSUNAA have embarked on a joint endeavor to update your information to keep you informed of alumni work,service and see how we can serve you better. We want engage and invite you to be a part of our growing Nashville chapter ( millennials we want (need)YOU !) . We also are piloting a different giving model to increase giving to THE TSU FOUNDATION. " Local due($50) + National dues($30) + foundation donation ( $50) = $130.00
