💙 PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 💙

Prostate cancer has affected several brothers of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc-Tau Lambda Chapter making this cause personal to our brotherhood.

That is why we are encouraging every man, especially our Black brothers, to take charge of his health. Schedule regular doctor visits, discuss prostate cancer screening, get your PSA test, and know your numbers. Early detection can make a life-saving difference.

🔹 About 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime.
🔹 An estimated 333,830 men will be diagnosed in the United States in 2026.
🔹 Black men are more likely to develop prostate cancer than men of other racial or ethnic groups.
🔹 Black men are more than twice as likely to die from prostate cancer as other men.

Brothers, fathers, husbands, sons, and friends, make the appointment and have the conversation with your doctor. Knowing your numbers is an act of strength, responsibility, and love for those who depend on you.

The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc-Tau Lambda Chapter is committed to making sure our Brothers, families, friends, and neighbors throughout Davidson County, Tennessee are prepared to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming 2026 Midterm Elections.

One of the first steps is knowing where to vote. Don’t wait until Election Day to figure it out. Confirm your polling location, make your voting plan, and then help someone else do the same.

Voting is more than a right—it is an opportunity to have a voice in the decisions that affect Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, and our nation.

As Alpha men, we understand the importance of civic engagement. First of All, We Vote!

🔥 What a great 2026 Tau Lambda Chapter Retreat! 🔥

The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc-Tau Lambda Chapter came together for a weekend of brotherhood, fellowship, reflection, and—most importantly—WORK!

Under our theme, “Reignite the Flame: Renewing Our Commitment to Alpha • Reconnecting to Our Purpose • Recommitting to Our Brotherhood,” brothers rolled up their sleeves to prepare for the 2026–2027 fraternal year. We discussed our individual Alpha Assignments, strengthened our commitment to meaningful engagement, and developed plans designed to move our chapter forward.

Our work doesn’t stop when the retreat ends. We are returning to Nashville energized, focused, and committed to making an even greater impact throughout Nashville and the surrounding communities through service, leadership, advocacy, mentoring, education, and brotherhood.

The flame has been reignited. Now it’s time to EXECUTE!

Last evening, the Brothers of the Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., joined by several brothers from across the Association of TN Alphamen, were honored to attend the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated International Boule Public Meeting right here in Nashville.

It was a privilege to welcome the distinguished women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated to Music City and to be present as our General President, Lucien Metellus delivered greetings on behalf of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Moments like these remind us of the strength of our Divine Nine and the importance of supporting one another as we continue to serve our communities.

To the women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, thank you for allowing Nashville to host this historic gathering. We wish you continued success as you conduct the business of your beloved sorority, and we hope you enjoy everything Music City has to offer.
