Lipscomb University School of Music The School of Music shares Lipscomb University’s commitment to Christian liberal arts education and functions as an integral part of that commitment.

Our mission is to lead students to an appreciation and comprehension of the creative spirit across time and culture, within the context of the Christian faith. Recognizing that music is an integral part of a liberal arts education, the School of Music seeks to:

1. Provide each university student with the opportunity for participation in musical experiences,
2. Provide the best possible instructio

n for students who plan to make music their profession.
4. Provide cultural service to the community, and
5. Provide support for church music ministries.

A group of LSOM voice students competed at the MidSouth Region NATS Conference last weekend. Congratulations to all participants! Sophia Hassevoort placed 2nd in the Treble Upper Level Undergrad Musical Theatre category. Joshua Mellor placed 2nd in the TBB Upper Level Undergrad Classical category. Both of these singers were chosen to sing on a masterclass with internationally known vocal pedagogue, Dr. Kari Ragan and qualified for the National Student Auditions for NATS to be held this summer!
