Now THIS is news worthy of a standing ovation! 👏🎭

Lipscomb University's George Shinn College of Entertainment and the Arts is deepening its longtime partnership with Tennessee Performing Arts Center by creating a new scholarship for students from high schools participating in TPAC’s Spotlight Awards program.

Beginning in fall 2027, Lipscomb will award two $10,000 scholarships each year to student actors and technicians who plan to pursue theater or a related field of study at Lipscomb. Renewable for up to four years, each scholarship may provide as much as $40,000 to help talented young artists take center stage in the next chapter of their education.

⚾ 💜 Meet us at the ballpark THIS Friday night for a fun evening at Lipscomb Night at the Nashville Sounds to cheer on our hometown team as it hosts the Gwinnett Stripers! The fun takes place THIS Friday, June 26 at 6:35 p.m. at Nashville’s First Horizon Park.

Visit with Lipscomb representatives who will greet you on the plaza as you enter First Horizon Park. Stop by the Alumni & Parent Engagement table and snag some giveaways! Enjoy a fun night of baseball in Music City as well as the fireworks that cap off the night's festivities!

Tickets for the Lipscomb community range from $17 to $24 before taxes and fees. The Lipscomb Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement will add a $10 concessions voucher to each ticket you purchase. You don't want to miss this fun night in Nashville!

Artificial intelligence is already reshaping healthcare—and Lipscomb's College of Health Sciences faculty and students are helping explore what comes next.

Across nursing, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, communication sciences and disorders, nutrition, kinesiology and health sciences simulation, Lipscomb faculty are researching how AI can improve patient care, expand access to resources and enhance the way future health care professionals learn.

From AI-powered patient advocates and medical documentation tools to adaptive learning platforms and communication devices, this work is preparing students to use emerging technology thoughtfully, ethically and responsibly—while keeping the human connection at the heart of care.

Today was another great day as we welcomed future Bisons and their families to Lipscomb for our final in-person New Student Orientation. From meeting faculty and future classmates to learning more about student life and the many ways to get connected, our newest students got a glimpse of what it means to be part of the Bison Herd.

We have loved every opportunity over the last few days to meet the students who will soon call Lipscomb home. We can’t wait to welcome you back this fall as you begin this exciting new chapter.

We are excited to share that philanthropist and business leader Lowell Milken has established the American Dream Scholarship at Lipscomb University. This is a first-of-its-kind award created to support undergraduate students studying political science, American studies, history and journalism who demonstrate academic excellence, civic engagement, leadership and a commitment to the pursuit of liberty guided by strong ethical values.

Six Lipscomb students have been selected as the inaugural recipients of this $10,000 scholarship, which invests in students preparing to lead with character, serve their communities and contribute to the common good.

We are grateful for Mr. Milken’s generosity and his belief in Lipscomb students as the next generation of thoughtful, purpose-driven leaders.
