Hey Otakus. It's Jeremiah Cooper speaking.

I have unfortunate news to share... fellow OAXIII member Micah "Tre" Baker passed away this weekend. He died in his sleep. Please pray for his family and all the people he touched during his life. He made me laugh so much when he showed up, always had a smile on his face, and never put out negative energy even if he was going through something. This is pretty personal to me cause I went to middle/high school with him and into college. Funny thing is, I literally spoke about him this weekend to a friend of mine and now he's gone. Life is short, so make the most of it. Continue to make a positive impact on others every day cause you never know when it's gonna be your last day. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care. I love you all.

Good evening everybody, this week’s meeting is the Black-A-Thon!!! We have three games in store for you including “Name that Theme” and “Black Trivia”. All games will include two teams battling head to head for bragging rights and also a prize at the end. The meeting will be held this Friday at 6:00 p.m. in Holland Hall Room 124. Come Friday and test your skills!!!

In preparation for final exam week, we are going have a study night in Holland Hall. Also, tonight, if you have not received your club t-shirt come by the meeting tonight and receive them, the t-shirts are only for members that have paid their dues. This will be our last meeting of the semester but this will be a chill meeting.

On Friday, we had our Election Night meeting. We hold an election to have some new e-board members. There were speeches the candidates had to present. Also, we had some fun icebreaker activities we played. Next week, we are having a Final Exam Study Night.

Good morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a productive school week. Tomorrow we will be having our Annual Election Day open to general body members. The election will be held in Holland Hall Rm 124 at 6PM. The following positions that will be open are:

Secretary

Treasury

Female and Male Liaisons

Committee positions

Event Coordinator

Committee positions

Social Media Coordinator

The President and Vice President positions WILL NOT be open to the public in compliance with following pre-existing SGA rules. There are two candidates within the E-Board that are running for the Vice President, which is Deprea Crane and Larry Roby. There are a few requirements for the positions:

You must have a 3.0 GPA.

You must attend every E-Board and General Body meetings within the semesters.

You must have dedication and commitment to the organization.

You must have a goal to help make the organization grow.

If you are a first or second time freshmen, you will not be able to participate in this election. Make sure you are dressed in professional attire for this election. Also, please have your speeches ready to go. If there are any questions, please contact us through our club email. Thank you and I wish the best of luck to you all for this election!!

On the weekend we went to MTAC as a squad. Alumni otaku members were here as well to chill with us. We all went to various panels, cosplayed, and of course, the Savagery. We all had a blast and can't wait to come back next year!!!

Yesterday, we helped volunteered at the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival. It celebrates spring and Japanese culture. We all had a great time and showed our support. Next stop: MTAC!!!!
