Further evidence of the innovation happening on Olin’s (small but mighty) campus: The Olin College Robotics team has won the 2026 Excellence in Drone Applications Award in the fourth annual Challenge Awards! 💥

The Olin Ag-Robotics team designed and built their autonomous drone system, HydroFleet, to quantify soil moisture across a field for irrigation planning. The judges called Olin’s submission “the most engineering-mature project they reviewed.”

Further evidence of the innovation happening on Olin's (small but mighty) campus: 💥 The Olin College Robotics team has won the 2026 Excellence in Drone Applications Award in the fourth annual Farm Robotics Challenge Awards!

On May 7, the students and staff of Olin's MechProto course invited the campus community to the Spring semester's final demos of their work. Over the past three months, 51 students designed and fabricated boxes, automata machines, and kinetic sculptures, all of which were on display at the open house-style final event. We stopped by to celebrate the students and their super creations and to take photos. Enjoy! ⚙️🔩
