Project HOPE is coming to Hocking!

Hocking College is one of only 15 colleges nationwide selected to take part in Project HOPE, and you can help bring the artwork to life.

This Thursday, Sept. 10, stop by from 3–6 p.m. outside North and Downhour residence halls to add your own chalked or hand-painted dove to the “VOTE IS A VERB” mural created by Corie Mattie, the LA Hope Dealer.

You can also register to vote, check your registration, get nonpartisan election information, explore the League of Women Voters of Ohio’s Airstream and grab some free food.

No art experience needed. Just stop by and add your own dove to the mural!! The event is open to students, employees and community members.

Setup is underway, and Wailin Wayne is almost here!

The event runs Sept. 9–13 at Hocking College and features two days of women-focused adventure motorcycle training with internationally recognized rider Jocelin Snow on Sept. 10–11. We’re getting everything ready and can’t wait to welcome riders to campus!

Horsepower in the Hills brings car and truck enthusiasts together to celebrate automotive culture, craftsmanship, and performance. From classic builds and modern muscle to lifted trucks and daily drivers, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The event also supports the Hocking College Auto Tech Club, giving students opportunities to build their skills, gain hands-on experience, and connect with the local automotive community.

Hocking Student catches national recognition!

We are proud to announce that one of our students, Gavin McCaulley, has been named a 2026 Chime Workforce Scholar.

Gavin is one of 200 students nationwide recognized for academic achievement and the pursuit of career-focused education. He will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Chime Scholars Foundation to help cover educational expenses as he prepares to enter the workforce in a high-demand field.

Administered by the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation, the scholarship program supports students pursuing career and technical education at two-year colleges.

Congratulations, Gavin, on this well-deserved achievement!

Hocking College students joined the annual celebration in Nelsonville, marching through the community and representing Hocking alongside the college float.
